Castiel Beats Salvatore in the Spoiler TV Character Poll (2011)

Hi, SPN  fans. I'm doing this because I had a difficult time finding the results of this poll.

Congratulations Supernatural fans, the Angel Castiel beat out Vampire Damon Salvatore in  "The 2011 STV Character competition: Castiel (Supernatural) vs. Damon Salvatore (The Vampire Diaries)". Find out more about this poll here.

Are fans screaming at TPTB for the return of the Angel Castiel? I think so!

Earlier, Castiel beat out fellow friend Dean Winchester with the final score of  5146 votes for Cass vs. 4285 votes for Dean.

It's been a rough season for Dean and Castiel. Dean's changing tone and focus has caused an uproar with the fandom. Castiel's lack of story and the disappearance of Misha from Supernatural has also caused some fighting within the fandom. Sorry fans, I think this calls for solidarity. If you're still interested in Supernatural, we are all fans of Supernatural whether your favorite character is Castiel, Sam, Dean, Bobby, John (my favorite character), Mary, Lucifer, Crowley, the Impala, etc...

Some  fans couldn't handle Dean's anger towards Castiel in "Meet the New Boss". Dean's anger stemmed from the deep and profound friendship he has with Castiel. Dean lashed out. He was angry and sad, but it came across as a reprimand. Castiel is very much an innocent and I think that caused Dean to address Cas as a "baby" and  "child". Dean has lost so much in his life and he's been dragged through so much (being Death and SoullessSam), we can't expect him to rebound quickly and efficiently anymore. I don't think Dean has ever been able rebound from a loss quickly.

I can't forget how lovingly Dean folded Castiel's overcoat with respect and care. Dean is a man in mourning.

Dean Winchester is a different man this season. Fans rallied for Dean Winchester to have a story line worthy of this co - lead status and what we are seeing might be THAT story.

I think Misha is just busy filming "Divine" and will be back. I think this is one big joke by the writers of SPN to make us think Castiel is dead.

The well directed, "The Girl Next Door" had a missing scene which might have been able to shed some light on Dean's current state of mind. Dealing with Sam's instability and mourning Castiel's demise, Dean saws through this cast. That's what I've been told, because of the burden of Sam and Cas, Dean charged off to do what he does best, kill the monsters. Dean killed one monster, let one go free, and yet the fandom went wild.

I refuse to believe that the story of Castiel is over. He'll be back!
